I'm a big fan of what you do, but I don't hear you arguing for more US solar produciton capacity. If the Japanese can make cars here there is no reason the Chinese can't make solar panels here as well. And while installation jobs are great, it's not the same as careers built around a manufacturing base.


Perhaps another policy option to consider is exploring a model India is using to drive down the cost of solar power in their country:
